Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for providing daily technical support and assistance in the completion of maintenance activities, to include preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and modification of production and packaging systems, to include the following:

• Packaging Line Equipment

• Coating, Compression, Milling, Printing, and Drilling Equipment

• Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Solid Dose Equipment

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance per applicable SOPs in order to keep equipment in good working condition

• Perform corrective maintenance / repairs in accordance with all applicable SOPs in a timely fashion for all corrective maintenance and emergency needs

• Troubleshoot / repair manufacturing equipment as needed

• Submit / maintain all documentation in accordance with good manufacturing practices and all applicable SOPs

• Support manufacturing by assisting with setting up / adjusting manufacturing equipment as assigned

• Perform system modification / installations

• Perform other duties as assigned and assist with facility PMs and Repairs

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) or technical school certificate

• Five (5) years’ experience working as a mechanic in a regulated environment (GMP or FDA) is preferred

• Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment experience in oral dose facility a plus

• Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds

• Ability to wear any type protective equipment as directed by job requirements

• Ability to work weekends, evenings and overtime
