Position Summary

OSIbeyond is a rapidly growing IT consulting firm based in Rockville, Maryland providing Managed IT and Cybersecurity services. We are seeking a Staff Accountant to support our growing business operations. 

The Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations and bookkeeping. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Schedule

12 hours per week, three days per week

4 hours per day, Mon, Wed, Fri during regular business hours

In office Mon and Wed, Remote on Friday

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee accounting operations as outlined by company policy including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory, taxes, maintenance of general ledger, and ad-hoc analysis of data.
• Develop and initiate systems and procedures for transacting financial matters and improving the profit of the company within the company’s framework.
• Ensure that the financial system is accurate, efficient, and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. Advise management accordingly.
• Manage the monthly closing process including recording accrual entries in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial and operational reporting packages including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow as well as utilization and profitability reports

• Supporting both internal and external audits of financial information

Job Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business administration
• Must have 2 years’ experience in an accounting functions
• Technology or Professional Services industry experience desired but not required
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Must be local to Rockville, MD
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
