Description:

We are looking for a part-time professional and compassionate individual to join our team. Responsibilities will include performing a variety of tasks including assisting funeral directors during a funeral service or visitation and other duties as listed below.

*Upon receipt of an offer of employment, candidates must complete required drug testing within 24 hours.

Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining reverence and respect for the deceased at all times.
• Assisting funeral directors, when necessary, at funeral services and viewings with integrity, respect and professionalism.
• Greeting people at the funeral home and to ensure that services run smoothly and as planned.
• Directing or escorting families and friends during a funeral or visitation.
• Removal of the deceased from the place of death to the funeral home.
• Assisting with cremations.
• Tending to and setting caskets prior to funeral services as well as opening and closing the casket.
• Cleaning and driving funeral vehicles.
• Transporting and setting up flower arrangements.
• Cleaning the funeral home before and after a service.
• Light maintenance work.
• Attendance at staff and management meetings as directed.
• To provide consistently high standards of service, experience, products and facilities.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• A professional and well-mannered appearance and demeanor.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and takes personal pride in their quality of work.
• Basic computer skills.
• Current driver's license and clean driving record.
• Flexible schedule with the ability and desire to work odd hours.
• Fluent Spanish a plus but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
