About the Role

The Laura Mercier Global Marketing Assistant Manageris responsible forcontributing to Global Marketing initiatives for new launches and ongoing business within the complexion, bath & body, skincare and fragrance categories. This position reports into and supports the Senior Manager, Global Marketing in various brand analyses projects, strategic initiatives and brand communications. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • New Product Launches: Assist team in new product launch planning and execution according to new product development process. 
    • Manage the Bath & Body category, working cross-functionally to bring programs through all launch readiness milestones. 
    • Support on key complexion launches. 
    • Conduct competitive research to help inform product and pricing strategy. 
    • Issue and update new launch programs in project management software. 
    • Prepare cost objectives for new launches to ensure launch profitability. 
    • Issue and update creative & merchandising briefs. 
    • Follow up on deliverables with various team. 
    • Support team in creation of key documents, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure documents are complete across all functions (launch strategy decks, forecasting decks, launch reports). 
    • Manage routing of launch materials for team review and approval, including creative assets, visual merchandising units, etc. 
  • Brand Analytics
    • Prepare mix of business analysis. 
    • Provide competitive launch reviews. 
    • Send regular industry news, launches, innovations, and trends. 
    • Support the Global Marketing department in other various ad hoc analytic projects. 
  • Other Duties
    • Support the team with the preparation of various marketing presentations (international meetings, strategic planning, quarterly business reviews, etc.). 
    • Manage the creation and updates to cross-functional documents (pricing sheets, line edit / assortment files, sample assortments, etc.) 
    • Manage bi-weekly Global Memo issuance to all market partners. 
    • Manage bi-weekly agenda issuance for Global Marketing status with Brand President. 
    • Meeting preparation: ensuring rooms are set up for various meetings with appropriate products, comps, etc. 
    • Competitive product purchasing. 
    • Manage product reserves and manage/coordinate product allocations for forecasting samples, creative shoots, market weeks, etc

Key Stakeholders

  • External Communication
    • Support the creation and update of dynamic presentation decks for Retailer and Internal Market Meetings and Global Conferences 
    • Tasked to ensure the availability of material for photography
    • Coordinate with Product Development, Creative and Packaging to organize preparation and delivery of all presentation material 

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with 2 to 4 years professional experience. 
  • Passionate about the beauty industry. 
  • Strong sense of the digital and social media landscape. 
  • Strong motivation to be involved with and learn the functions of the marketing department from the ground up. 
  • Attention to details, ability to work independently, reliable. 
  • Strong organizational skills. 
  • A strong sense of urgency, ability to manage details and projects while responding to changing priorities and feedback in a fast-paced environment. 
  • An energetic, team-oriented individual with interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong oral, written, communication and presentation skills.
  • Software expertise – MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint 
  • Work on strategy of the brand and its statement in role related product categories in the ever-changing environment today.

  • Support the Global Marketing Director in developing the 3-5 year strategy of the brand
  • Analyze the brand's business with the support of the Global Director and identify growth possibilities as well as the leadership situations to support 
  • Provide brand and competitive insights to support Director in leading the product innovation strategic discussion and ideation with Product development 
  • Execute tasks related to reformulation, repackaging, and reworks to be phased in 
  • Continually submit new product ideas that are innovative - bold, audacious, modern & iconic 
  • Include Artistry considerations in the development of products, positioning, positioning, identification of differentiation and added value. 
  • Put emphasis on speed to market 
  • Think digitally first in their execution of any project
  • New and Pillar Product Launch Process 
    • Support and manage projects in collaboration with the Director, Global Marketing 
    • Support the new product development process partnering with cross- functional teams 
    • Lead competitive analysis on the category and in support of innovation 
    • Gather all necessary content for launch strategy decks
    • Help analyze and manage product COGs to ensure favorable profitability to the brand 
    • Provide brand and competitive insights supporting the alignment on pricing
    • Support the execution of the sampling strategy in partnership with operational marketing 
    • Support Director in Global forecast analysis (samples vs. saleable...) 
    • Lead preparation of the forecasting decks to guide markets at time of forecast – issue forecast guidelines 
    • Help review global forecasts (saleable / samples) in partnership with Operational Marketing and Operational teams 
    • Develop all briefs (product development, packaging, creative, visual merchandising, assets development across all areas of deployment) 
    • Support Director in creation and sending of key documents (Launch strategy decks, Forecasting decks, Launch reports, Global Memos…) 
    • Support Director in the creation of full 360 programs for each launch by defining a best in class launch and activation strategies and tools that best express the concept. 
    • Ensure high standard of execution and consistency of message across all consumer facing material (copy & visual – name - leaflet – press file – films – face charts …) and across internal documents (bulletin, education material, marketing decks…) 

In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.

At Orveon Global, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications.

The pay range for this position is $75,000-$85,000.

The range listed is just one component of Orveon’s total compensation package for employees. For full time positions other benefits include competitive bonuses, a generous Paid Time Off policy, Medical Benefits, Parental Leave, 401K, Gratis, Hybrid Working Environment, Summer Fridays, and Employee Discounts
