General Statement of Duties:


The HR/ Credentialing Assistant provides administrative support for the Human Resources & Credentialing Departments, including the department leadership team. The Assistant is the first point of contact for internal and external inquiries. They will be responsible for providing support with various tasks including but not limited to onboarding, HR & Credentialing record keeping, benefits administration and recruitment.

Essential Duties:

  1. Provides administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager, including typing and sending correspondence, organizing, scheduling, and preparing for various meetings, and other projects as assigned.
  2. Issues and maintains employee access to the facilities, including creating new badges for staff during onboarding and replacements as requested. Maintains additional facility access requests, disables access via the staff off-boarding process.
  3. Collaborates with the HR Compliance & Credentialing Coordinators to conduct the monthly and quarterly staff file audits to ensure compliance with the State Board of Health and other hospital facility accrediting bodies.
  4. Support the benefits team on incoming inquiries and other related needs.
  5. Supports data entry and document management within the Credentialing Department database for new and established healthcare providers (including physicians, advanced practice providers and other allied health professionals).
  6. Supports the Hospital Credentialing Department with tracking and maintenance of expirable documents for healthcare providers and hospital credentialed medical staff. Connecting with providers and staff to obtain updated documents needed to comply with hospital policy and accreditation requirements.
  7. Maintains adequate office supplies for the Departments. Supports invoice payment processing, expense tracking and reconciliation of monthly HR corporate credit card, including capturing all necessary receipts and backup documentation.
  8. Responds to requests for employment and salary verifications, primary contact for the HR e-mailbox and phone call contacts. Escalates concerns as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience required - Within an HR support or related administrative position
  • 2-4 years of experience preferred
