What you’ll do: 

Channel your expertise as an Accounts Receivable Specialist and allow your keen attention to detail shine as you take on this important role. In this role, you will resolve insurance denials and aged receivables. In addition to working in the Revenue Cycle Department, you will be interacting with other departments throughout the organization to resolve issues. The scope of responsibility includes but is not limited to having the ability to follow departmental policies and protocols, regularly monitor insurance companies’ policies and keeping updated on any changes, properly notify Revenue Cycle Leadership of said changes and perform other tasks as deemed necessary.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Research/rectify all types of denials/edits, requests for information and other related correspondence.
• Identify and analyze open claims.
• Identify and correct billing errors.
• Re-submit claims to insurance carriers.
• Has a thorough knowledge of government, WC, Auto accident, commercial, HMO, PPO and other types of insurance billing guidelines and demonstrates effective judgment when processing all claims.
• Monitors past due accounts for payment.
• Contributes to a cohesive departmental unit.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 3 Years’ experience working in healthcare accounts receivable department resolving rejections and denials. Required.
• Multiple systems experience in Mod-med, TriZetto, Remedics, Practice Management Allscripts, Touchworks EHR, PayerPath, Clearwave. Experience preferred, but not required.
• Self- starter, team player, analytic & problem-solving ability
• Proficient use of technology including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the internet
• Strong communication skills required.
• Orthopedic Experience preferred, but not required.
• High degree of initiative, professionalism, and independent judgment.
