Orthopaedic Associates is seeking multiple highly skilled and motivated Registered Nurses to join our team working in a high volume, orthopaedic only, ambulatory surgery center. The ideal candidate will be ACLS certified and have previous orthopaedic and/or surgical experience. This is an outpatient-only facility, so hours would be Monday - Friday day shift. This is a full-time position but there is some schedule flexibility, with options of 8-12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care before, during, and after surgery
• Administer medications and anesthesia as ordered by the physician
• Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding post-operative care
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Adhere to all policies and procedures of the ambulatory surgery center
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with company policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Associates or bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university and current unrestricted Indiana Registered Nurse license required
• CPR and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ambulatory surgery center or outpatient setting
• Strong prioritization, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Demonstrate clinical competence and knowledge of disease processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• General computer and telephone skills required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
• Must have the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
