OrthoIllinois is Hiring a Director Ancillary Services Near Rockford, IL

Job Purpose:

The Director, Ancillary Services is responsible for oversight and day-to-day management of ancillary departments within OrthoIllinois. Ancillary Services includes the following departments: X-Ray, MRI, CT, DME & Medical Supply, FitRight, Injectables, Injury Express, Occupational Health, Rheumatology & Infusion, and other departments as assigned. Specific focus on process improvement, personnel management, cost containment, and revenue enhancement. In addition, the Director is instrumental in implementation of systems and programs that maintain and improve current operations and embrace opportunities for change that are present in a growing organization.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Aligns work of departments with overall strategic goals of the organization utilizing teams' strength to effectively and efficiently deliver on key metrics contributing to organizational success
  • Provides guidance, support, professional development, and performance management opportunities for professional staff and front leaders. Developing leaders in alignment with OrthoIllinois’ leadership philosophy
  • Develop and implement standardized practices and protocols for department teams that achieve superior outcomes while being appropriately cost effective
  • Develop and monitor departmental operating and capital budgets, X-Ray, MRI, CT, and DME & Medical Supply, Injectables, Injury Express, Occupational Health, and Rheumatology & Infusion, in order to provide the appropriate utilization of resources and provide equipment consistent with OrthoIllinois’ strategic long range plans
  • Monitor regulatory and clinical standards, productivity, and quality assurance efforts
  • Develop and oversee the execution of “best in class” operations, logistics, services and solutions
  • Execute strategies, tactics and actions aimed at achieving OrthoIllinois’ goals and objectives for revenue growth, profit, as well as employee and patient satisfaction
  • Develops team by providing training opportunities, ongoing coaching, and performance feedback, aligning team goals and accountability with organization initiatives and service standards
  • Network with GPO’s, Distributors, Suppliers, and Vendors to negotiate departmental cost/expense of equipment and supply

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma degree or equivalent, required
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • At least two years of experience in a similar position and/or performing similar tasks
  • At least two years of experience managing people
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft and Google suites
  • Advanced working knowledge of EMR, and Qlik
  • Familiarity with HRIS and attendance management software

Environmental/Working Conditions:

Working environment is in an office/clinic setting.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Sit, stand, walk, stoop or kneel, crouch or crawl for extended periods of time
  • Requires lifting, carrying and/or moving objects in a manner consistent with most office environments (generally, no more than 10 pounds on a frequent basis and 20 pounds on an occasional basis)
  • Finger dexterity for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse for extended periods of time
  • Vision (e.g., depth perception, color vision, strong vision up close); hearing (e.g., high pitch sounds, soft or distant sounds)
