OrthoAlliance MSO, LLC is Hiring a MEDICAL ASSISTANT Near Albany, OH

EDUCATION: CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) certification/degree (preferred) and high school diploma or GED required. Prefer current BLS certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greet patients and escort them to clinical areas
  • Conduct patient visit interview: confirm purpose of visit, review and record patient medical history, review medication list
  • Obtain patient vital; when indicated complete EKGs, venipuncture and gather urine specimen
  • Document all communications in clear and concise manner, and in compliance with professional standards Maintain supplies and equipment
  • Perform cleaning and stocking of clinical supplies in lab and exam room
  • Obtain lab results and clinical notes/dictations
  • Post-appointment patient follow-up including verification of completed diagnostic testing and medication changes
  • Answer and triage incoming phone calls; communicate physician recommendations and/or report test results via phone; call in prescriptions
  • Patient scheduling
  • Front office duties as needed: greet patients and visitors, collect insurance information, process copays or other payments
  • Assist other team members with patient care
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior medical office experience preferred
  • Excellent patient service skills and phone etiquette
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work successfully as a team member and autonomously
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong problem-solving skills
