Ortho Development is Hiring a Communications Manager Near Draper, UT
- Research and understand customer behaviors and motivators, competitive activity and medical device industry trends, specifically orthopedics.
- Write, design and distribute high-quality content that communicates Ortho Development’s value proposition, product benefits and corporate initiatives across various channels, including social media, email, newsletters, mobile, website and app.
- Manage communications calendar and delegate tasks when needed.
- Work with marketing and sales team members to produce product launch plans and assets, including surgical techniques, brochures, presentations and sales enablement materials.
- Complete control steps to release final documentation, including change orders in the change control system.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, style guides and quality documents.
- Monitor and control print collateral inventory and digital assets.
- Help maintain website content and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Craft press releases and pitch stories to media outlets to generate positive coverage and enhance brand reputation.
- Track and report metrics on the effectiveness of communications and continually monitor, analyze and tune messaging to maximize impact.
- Work closely with HR and office staff to develop and execute internal communication strategies through various channels.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistency in messaging across all customer touchpoints.
- Assist with downstream marketing activations, logistical tasks, cross-departmental projects and sales support.
- Assist with internal and external event planning and execution.
- 7 years of professional experience in marketing communications, content creation and social media management.
- 3 years of medical device, biotechnology or healthcare communications experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or associated field.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt communications for different audiences.
- Experience in a regulated environment, preferably in orthopedic medical devices.
- Proven success in social media management and content creation.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, orthopedic medical device preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and be a team player!
- Proactive, self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is a bonus.
