Job Summary:
Join the Ortega's Taco Shop team as a Front of House Manager! We are seeking a dynamic individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations in our bustling taco shop. In this position, you will play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests while leading and motivating our front-of-house team to deliver quality dining experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and motivate the front-of-house team to provide excellent service;
• Ensure that all guests receive prompt, friendly, and personalized service;
• Oversee daily operations, including opening and/or closing procedures, scheduling, and staff management to maintain smooth service flow;
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation of the front-of-house customer area;
• Monitor inventory levels of front-of-house supplies such as utensils, napkins, cleaning products, and to-go materials;
• Regularly coordinate and communicate with the back-of-house team to ensure seamless operations;
• Train new team members on company policies, service standards, and job duties, and provide ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and performance;
• Solicit feedback from guests and address concerns or issues promptly and effectively to ensure guest satisfaction and loyalty;
• Implement strategies to maximize sales and profitability, including promoting menu items, specials, and upselling opportunities to enhance the guest experience;
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff, management team, and other departments to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency and productivity;
• Handle customer complaints or operational challenges with professionalism and efficiency, finding quick and effective solutions to ensure a positive dining experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role in a hospitality or food industry is preferred;
• Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred;
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team;
• Excellent customer service skills with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences;
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food safety standards, inventory management, and POS system;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and maintain a positive attitude under stress;
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed;
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities are a plus.
