Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Employment Specialist is responsible for processing candidates for staff positions from internal and external sources.

Duties

  • Establishes recruitment requirements in accordance with organization plans and objectives
  • Review and clarify job specifications, competencies and skills required, with potential candidates
  • Understands and communicates recruitment programs effectively to candidates
  • Review in coordination with HR Director and necessary Department Leadership, resumes and applications to determine qualifications and suitability of candidates
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Inform candidates fully about job and company
  • Verify references
  • Verify candidate license and certifications
  • Conduct background checks
  • Facilitate pre-employment testing
  • Manage all onboarding communication with candidates
  • Provide regular updates and feedback to managers, regarding onboarding of new staff
  • Extend offers of employment within company guidelines
  • Coordinate the job offer including negotiation and administration, with necessary Department Leadership
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain employee files
  • Draft rejection letters
  • Schedule new employee orientation and new hire training
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Lifting Requirements: Semi-Sedentary: Sits and walks throughout workday. Generally lifting objects not more than 25 Ibs. and/or carrying objects weighing 10 Ibs.
