Maintenance Technician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Orlando, FL area. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all facilities located at our apartment community. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, work well with others in a team-based environment, and be willing to take on various repair and safety projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all facilities are maintained in accordance with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on all common areas of facilities (e.g. plumbing, carpentry, painting, HVAC, etc.)
• Ensure that all common areas are kept clean and orderly
• Keep records of repairs completed so that facilities may be returned to their original condition upon completion of a given maintenance project
• Complete safety and preventative maintenance projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong sense of urgency – able to take initiative and work independently without constant oversight
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Aptitude for problem solving and/or maintenance repair
• High school diploma or GED, or relevant experience
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check to become eligible for employment at our facility

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
