KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for understanding the needs of the customers and the realities of commercially available IT products, creating requirements that will allow implementation by the development team
• Support the planning of systems and development deployments as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards and auditing
• Participate in analysis, design, and new construction of next-generation IT systems
• Maintain standard Windows images for VDI
• Create application packages for end-point management systems such as Bigfix and SCCM
• Provide the documentation, testing, and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations
• Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project
• Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.
• Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.
• Work with ticketing system to optimize and automate workflow
DESIRED SKILLS:
• Experience configuring, deploying, and managing VDI infrastructures
• Experience of application packaging and application deployment tools such as SCCM and BigFix
• Extensive knowledge of scripting languages such PowerShell, Bash, Python
• Endpoint OS experience with Windows 10/11 and Linux
• Knowledge of integrated components such as DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Ability to research, evaluate design test and implement Virtual Desktop solutions
• Knowledge of full lifecycle management techniques testing, integration, change management, security and authentication services
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• A solid technical background with a focus on IT Systems
• Ability to identify and fix problems within existing systems, design and implementation of new systems, and enhancement of existing systems
• Experience performing system engineering activities and developing and delivering work products
• Experience with Telecommunication (TCP/IP, OIS/CMIP/X25), operating systems (Windows, UNIX, LINUX), database/DBMD (oracle, access, Sybase), and applications (Tivolli, Peoplesoft)
• Required Education & Experience: High School/GED ( 12) years of relevant experience. AD ( 10) years of relevant experience. BA/BD ( 6) years of relevant experience. Master's degree ( 4) years of relevant experience, or PHD ( 2) years of relevant experience
