SCHEDULER POSITION OVERVIEW : Schedules patient appointments for visits, diagnostic tests, referrals and / or consults, and any surgical procedures.

Documents patient calls via electronic medical record phone notes. Financial responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following : verifying guarantor information and collection of any monies due at the time of service.

Works closely with patients, providers, and hospital facilities. Get to know our healthcare providers and develop relationships to better your knowledge of the care process.

Be a part of a team that is essential to the office functions, that first point of contact for patients that are in need!

SCHEDULER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Triage patient for their medical needs and schedule according to physician protocols provided to you.
  • Help patient determine best path into practice and timing of the visit.
  • Enter patient information into system to builds patient chart or add to existing.
  • Assist in problem solving with your team members, collogues, and providers.
  • Be energized and a part of the time all while maintaining individual workflow.
  • Demonstrate and apply knowledge of medical terminology, high proficiency of general medical office procedures including HIPAA regulations. Training provided.
  • Communicate any insurance changes or trends among team or any other information you gather while scheduling patients.
  • Maintains a level of productivity suitable for the department.
  • Clearly document all communications and contacts with providers and personnel in standardized documentation requirements, including proper format.
  • Other duties as assigned. Position is full time M-F, 8am to 5pm. Benefits eligible. Remote work NOT available at this time.

SALARY & BENEFITS : Up to $21 Per hour

Requirements

SCHEDULER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires effective customer relation skills, ability to organize and interpret data.
  • Requires good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and ability to problem solve.

SCHEDULER WORKING CONDITIONS :

  • Typical business office environment
  • Possibility of local travel
  • Frequent standing, walking and sitting
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Hours of business are Monday Friday from 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
