At Orgro, the Product Manager connects to every User, from developer to analyst, to discover organizational needs (not “requirements”) and guide the Product Team, consisting of owners (Scrum Master), analysts, developers, engineers, testers & trainers, ensuring unmet needs are met 😊.

Needs

  1. U.S. Citizenship
  1. Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital products/services
  1. Experience managing agile software development projects
  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work or training experience
  1. Experience and comfort working at all stages of the product lifecycle - building and scaling a product from 0 to 1 and the ability to toggle between the big picture and day to day.
  1. Experience working with (consulting) Clients & Partners to build consensus and guide decision-making
  1. Strong facilitation skills; experienced at leading kickoff workshops, discovery/prototyping sprints, road-mapping exercises, and prioritization efforts with clients and teams
  1. Experience leading, coaching and mentoring other humans (e.g., Product Team members, public, Congress)

What You’ll Do

  1. Lead workshops and other activities aimed at defining the need to be met, generating hypotheses, promoting ideation, and managing tradeoffs
  1. Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to facilitate decision-making and to inform the future of the products we build with present & future Clients
  1. Coach, mentor, and provide feedback for Orgro teammates
  1. Help tell the story of our work in terms of “why, what, and how” and advocate for more iterative and human-centered ways of working within government
  1. Guide the product and org-planning process across cross-functional teams of the Client and Orgro
  1. Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate policies & processes (“Governance”) to ensure they’re achieved
  1. Recommends the nature and focus of present and future product feature & capabilities by reviewing product specifications and needs; appraising new product ideas and/or product changes
  1. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Organization, Marketing & other leaders to build a roadmap that realizes product & overall org vision
  1. Collecting and analyzing feedback from all types of Client users and Partners to identify needs
  1. Building deep Client and market understanding by working with external and internal Users
  1. Empowering teams to resolve Client issues without constrained thinking and with a platform mindset
  1. Working with org users to define and measure product objectives & goals
  1. Assisting in the planning and implementation of projects
  1. Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and samples
