The Finance Manager of Commercial Operations will be an integral member of the Organogenesis finance leadership team. This individual will lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning process for the Sales and Marketing teams. The Manager of Commercial Operations will report to the Director of FP&A and will play a key role in the development of KPI’s to drive revenue growth for our Wound Care products.

This position is highly visible throughout the organization and will leverage financial expertise towards evaluating spending and personnel plans that align with corporate goals, policies, and budgetary parameters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of annual planning, forecast and long-range planning processes, including consolidation and review of summary financials, establishing timelines, preparing presentations for management and oversight of submissions and commentary to Corporate Finance on Commercial Operations.
  • Partner with the Sales and Marketing Leadership to provide financial guidance.
  • Update and communicate monthly/quarterly metrics around expenses and headcount to Senior Leadership and functional leads.
  • Work cross functionally throughout the organization assisting various department heads with financial planning, analytics, and strategic decisions.
  • Analyze commercial processes to help the commercial team accelerate revenue growth, optimize their functions, increase efficiency, and continuously improve performance.
  • Lead high-priority commercial initiatives such as revenue process optimization and pricing / margin improvement.
  • Ability to perform monthly accruals and contract analysis.
  • Serve as central source of key trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Lead and/or support various finance-related integration projects and process improvement initiatives; participating in ad hoc projects as needed.
  • Work closely with finance leadership to drive prioritization and implementation of new planning models and changes to management reporting.
  • Ad hoc analysis and assisting on special projects.
Job Requirements:
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Products, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of data warehouse systems preferred (e.g., PowerBI, AX, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced environment with the changing priorities, tasks and client conditions.
  • Able to deal with an amount of ambiguity and have a can-do attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work on a variety of tasks and projects.

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often sitting for long periods of time.
  • Reading a computer monitor.
  • Operating office equipment including computer, desk phone, copy machine, scanner, printer.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance or related field preferred.
  • 5-7 years of relevant financial experience in an operations-oriented environment.
  • 3 years of experience supporting Life Science/Pharma sales and marketing departments is required.
