Oregon Public Schools is Hiring an Equipment operator Near Eugene, OR

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE / 8 hours per day position working on the CL-12 (260 days per full school year) schedule, Mon-Fri, 7 : 30 a.

m. - 3 : 30 p.m. Operates maintenance equipment to repair maintain and construct, District fields, roads and parking. Essential Functions : Operate backhoe, tractor, rotary mower, jack hammer, blacktop roller, sweeper, 5-yard and 10-yard dump trucks, grader, rototiller, and other heavy and light equipment.

May be required to use transit to calculate elevations and rate of flow for installation or alteration of drainage ditches.

Clear brush, mow ditches, and perform other rough groundskeeping. Clear snow and sand during snow season. Contact utilities to determine locations of water and electric lines.

Clear broken or clogged sewers, uncover power lines; dig footings or foundations for new buildings. Order and arrange delivery of asphalt;

oversee crews in preparing, applying, rolling, and finishing asphalt lots. Clean, lubricate, adjust, and perform general maintenance and repair of equipment.

Train other personnel in safe equipment use. Assist in moving athletic equipment, furniture, or other items. May be required to assist in the fabrication of needed equipment or parts.

Maintains regular and prompt attendance. Performs other related duties as assigned.
