Position Overview

The Staff Accountantis key to department success because they ensure accuracy, efficiency and compliance within the department. They also help maintain regulations and laws of accounting procedures, record keeping and reporting.

This position includes working closely with HR, leadership, and employees. Strong listening skills, adeptness in problem solving, and an ability to communicate details to bring comfort and understanding to employees, managers, and stakeholders. This person complies with regulations, laws and accounting procedures with the utmost integrity and confidentiality.

Essential Job Duties:

• Posting journal entries
• Preparing and delivering financial reports
• Month end reconciliations
• Reconciling and auditing company credit card transactions
• Assist with owners’ compensation model
• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Assist with appropriate tax filing preparation
• Assist with providing appropriate documentation for audits
• Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
• Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents
• Assist with other projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in Accounting or related field and
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• General understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Takes initiative and seeks out areas of improvement
• Proficiency using technology and software, especially Excel, Sage Intacct and Adobe
