This position will be part of a dynamic, energetic and collaborative team that supports the organization in the use of data and information to further OHSU’s mission to strive for excellence in education, research and scholarship, clinical practice and community service. Members of the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics (BIAA) team work to apply knowledge and best practices to assist end users in leveraging BI Tools (Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, etc.) to support enterprise business process and the use of data for efficient decision making throughout the organization.
The business analyst will support efforts to analyze current business process needs and associated system functionality in partnership with department and school leadership as well as central service staff. These efforts will identify and document the detailed requirements necessary to support process and associated system improvements.
This position is responsible for providing System/Business Analysis, Data Validation, Quality Assurance testing, and BI Reporting Support in the delivery of financial system development and improvement efforts. This will include working with business partners to address needs to collect and integrate information across all OHSU mission areas. These efforts will contribute to addressing information needs that benefit from integrating key clinical, research, educational and administrative domain information to support key business processes.
The System/Business Analysis components of the role will include applying effective communication and presentation skills to collaborate with business partners to understand business processes and how IT systems will support those processes in collecting and integrating key information.

This position is currently 100% telework/remote and may include remote work long-term. Candidate must be able to work from home full-time initially.
Education/Experience:
Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and six years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and seven years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Eight years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an Associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
