The Institute on Development & Disability (IDD), Division of Pediatric Psychology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). This is an Advanced Assistant to Associate Professor level position that will support the ASD Program at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital which is Oregon’s top-ranked children’s hospital and part of the region’s only academic medical center. The Autism Program incorporates service, scholarship, and teaching consistent with the mixed mission of OHSU. The program provides over 500 multidisciplinary assessments annually for individuals referred with a question of autism spectrum disorder, in addition to treatment and consultation services. As a referral center for the entire region, the clinic population is diverse, with about 20% of families being of non-white race, about 20% being of Latino ethnicity, and a large majority using public insurance.
The right candidate will offer leadership of the ASD Program. Further, the position involves offering clinical care as well as effort devoted to education, training, and scholarship, consistent with the vision and mission OHSU. The Division of Pediatric Psychology comprises 25 faculty and has well-developed training programs with rich opportunities available for supervision, training, and mentorship. Trainees include psychology graduate students, interns (APA accredited program), postdoctoral fellows, and medical students/residents. Research and other scholarly activities within the Division of Pediatric Psychology and Pediatrics are available and encouraged.
