Finance Clerk Job Summary:
The Finance Clerk will be responsible for monitoring the outflow of capital for all of Orchard’s entities. Assisting with Human Resource when applicable and additional administrative support for Orchard’s billing teams.
Reports to: Finance Controller
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
· Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
· Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
· Assists Business Administrator with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
· Records entry of, verifies documentation for, and distributes petty cash.
· Assist Human Resource’s with employee data entry and knowledge of HR management software.
· Assist in payroll processing backup when needed.
· Provide support when needed to completing administrative tasks to the billing or management teams.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
· Must be proficient in desktop QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
· Experience with Accounts Payable and QuickBooks Required.
