Orca Bay Foods has been a food processor in the area for nearly 30 years. We’re looking for eager, highly self-motivated, hardworking individuals who want to join our team. Working with us at Orca Bay Foods can be a challenging and rewarding experience. We are a custom food processor and our customers require good manufacturing and sanitation practices along with great attention to detail. This is a land-based position.

About You

We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as a Production Worker at our manufacturing facility. As a Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly of our products. What Will Be Expected

This is a fast-paced job that requires you to stand and work in a cold and wet environment. The temperature inside of the processing area may vary in range and can be as low as 40 degrees.

As a food processor, you will regularly handle and process fresh and frozen food products within the processing area. You may rotate through multiple positions on the production line which may include duties such as packing, sorting, labeling, weighing, inspecting, sealing, cleaning, loading, and unloading fish products. Our employees must be flexible and willing to work at any job that we need them to. We process a variety of different seafood product, including shellfish, and other food products. You should not have any known shellfish allergies.

Work Schedule

We need people who can meet the attendance requirements which may include weekend work and overtime. You must be willing and able to work extended hours and weekends, which may include both Saturday and Sunday, in peak periods.

Candidates must be able to work between the below hours.

1st Shift: 5:00 am - 4:00 pm

2nd Shift: 3:00 pm - 3:00 am

Hours can extend past these times and workers are expected to work until the job is finished.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand constantly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk and climb stairs. The employee must regularly lift and or move between 25-50 lbs. and occasionally lift between 50-75 lbs. Some positions may require heavier lifting. Work Environment The employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Experience and Skills:

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Ability to lift or move 25-50 lbs. and occasionally lift 50-75 lbs.
  • Able to work at a fast pace in a cold & wet work environment
  • Perform other duties or production positions as assigned by supervisors/leads
Job Benefits:

The typical hourly pay range for this role is $20.00 - $22.00 per hour. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.

Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
