Job Summary: The Assistant Studio Manager, Manager in Training (ASM-MIT) will assist the Studio Manager and sales staff in running all front of house fitness studio operations. The ASM-MIT supports the Studio Manager in all aspects of management pertaining to the fitness studio and will assume the role of Studio Manager when Studio Manager is away. The ASM-MIT is responsible for meeting and exceeding all key performance sales indicators including membership sales and renewals, retail and concession sales, as well as regulating workout traffic and maintaining premium customer service and overall performance support and management. The ASM-MIT will be trained on all operational functions by the Studio Manager, Regional Manager, and Training Manager as needed, in preparation for the Assistant Studio Manager role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate initial and ongoing sales drivers (pre-sale events, studio events, outreach).
Oversees the sales process and systems within the studio.
Compliance and adherence to OTF Business Policies for daily studio operations.
Develop a high energy culture through contests and incentive-based motivation.
Model all studio activities through self-involvement (leading by example).
Ensure OTF branding through consistency and continuity in all actions.
Responsible for helping the team meet performance metrics (KPI's), revenue, ordering, inventory, cost controls and facilities maintenance.
Ensure all front desk processes are followed such as proper member check-in, telephone inquiries (general and sales related), guest registration, cash handling, delinquent account procedures, customer care calls, change requests and document scanning.
Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service.
Provide effective decision-making regarding customer service issues.
Responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean, maintained and operationally sound.
Job Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year previous sales experience
Minimum of 1 year management experience
Must possess excellent leadership and management skills to create a positive, successful environment for staff and clients
Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task and manage client and staff concerns
Strong computer skills with knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Ability to work and function in a TEAM environment
Health and Fitness minded, strongly preferred
Flexible to work day, evening, and /or weekend hours, as needed
