Orange Southwest Supervisory District seeks a certified early childhood educator to teach in our public preschool program. Our program offers preschool education four mornings a week to three year olds and for four year olds we offer a full day program four days a week. Classrooms are designed for a mixed age experience with four year olds receiving additional opportunities designed just for this age range in the afternoons. Fridays are reserved for teachers to complete paperwork, have meetings, planning time and a district wide release meeting.
Our preschools use Responsive Classroom approach and are trained in outdoor education. Our forest classrooms are a vital part to the education of our young learners and are used for several hours each day. Applicants should enjoy working on a team, have good communication skills, have experience working with para educators and have knowledge of licensing standards, TSGold, CLASS, BFIS and the STARS system.
