Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Production Supervisor for our Electric Vehicle product line. This person will provide leadership, coordination, functional management, hands-on work and technical direction, and safety leadership for the Manufacturing and Assembly operations. This position is responsible for on-time manufacturing, assembly, and delivery of our electric vehicles to our customers. This position is for day shift operations and requires 50 hrs. per week.

Position Responsibilities

• Provide direction and leadership to the manufacturing and assembly team to build electric vehicles on time and within budget
• Be willing to get hands-on when necessary to make schedules or improve process/teamwork
• Understand process capabilities and process balancing to reduce bottlenecks and increase output
• Develop the assembly line and the processes to create top-quality electric vehicles for our customers
• Find and retain great team members who will work for you and are able to deliver top-quality products on time and under budget
• Develop strong relationships with all departments, and work together for the best outcome of the company
• Make data-driven decisions
• Generate new concepts and innovative ideas in manufacturing processes to achieve a competitive edge
• Prepare SPI’s (Standard Practice Instructions) with your team on all assembly and manufacturing operations
• Work closely with other departments to generate and track the BOM for each customer vehicle

Position Qualifications

• 5 years minimum of Assembly line supervision
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing
• Experience with an ERP system
• Highly organized, and able to report the status of projects at any time
• Capable of motivating the team to build great products quickly
• Great people skills, able to motivate your team in a positive way
• Enthusiastic drive to do what it takes to get the job done
• Team-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and projects

Ideal Candidates Will Also Have

• Experience with heavy trucks or automotive parts
• Understanding of Statistical Process Control 
• Experience with Epicor Software
• Vehicle repair experience
• Welding experience
• Engineering or other technical schooling
• Experience with painting and paint prep of vehicles
• Experience with electric vehicles
