The Judge Group is Hiring a Production Supervisor Near Kansas, KS
Our client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor (1st shift) for their manufacturing facility in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
This job will have the following responsibilities :
- Directs work group or department to assure on-time production and / or delivery.
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of 25 FTE employees
- Selects and trains employees to produce at standard-and-above efficiency.
- Maintain quality standards.
- Position will have responsibilities over shipping / dock area, and manufacturing
- Responsible for maintaining high employee morale and positive relationships.
- Recommends changes or improvement in methods, equipment, handling or lay-out.
- Drive a Kaizen culture to maintain absenteeism, scrap, and waste.
- Completes all other projects as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements :
- 3 years' manufacturing and / or shipping (supervisory) experience is required
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus!
- Strong LEAN / Kaizen / Continuous Improvement experience required
- Union experience is a plus!
- Open to working 1st shift
- Must have a quality and safety centered approach!
