Oral Maxillofacial Surgery is Hiring a Full Time Dental Assistant Near Brockton, MA

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the oral surgeon. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, taking X-rays, maintaining patient records, and ensuring a clean and sterile environment.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting surfaces
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing patient comfort
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist
- Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients as directed by the dentist
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Assist with front desk duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance information
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming temporary crowns

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent on-the-job training
- Current Mass Dental Assisting License and BLS certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Experience with digital imaging systems for dental X-rays is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 per week
