Oracle is Hiring a Senior Principal Security Engineer Near Santa Clara, CA
The Oracle Hardware Development (OHD) Security team is comprised of experienced security professionals who specialize in securing all aspects of CPU and GPU hardware platforms and their firmware in OCI Cloud and Exadata products. We ensure product security and provide guidance on hardware and firmware design, features, and services. Setting security standards for OHD products, we collaborate cross-functionally with partner/suppliers, and manufacturing security teams, on risk assessment and mitigation to enhance our product’s security posture.
We are seeking a highly motivated security engineer with expertise in hardware platform firmware, and cloud security to join our team. This candidate will be involved in the architecture, design, prototyping, and development aspects of OHD's products and services.
You should be a security-minded firmware/software leader who can collaborate with architects and/or development teams to ensure security requirements are met and the product's security posture is assured.
Qualifications
- BS, MS, or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering with a focus on HW/SW Security, or a related field.
- Proven ability in Product Security along with 5 years in firmware/software security.
- Experience in architecture, design, deployment, and handling of standard security practices and policies.
- Ability to lead architectural risk assessments across hardware/firmware/software boundaries.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Strong background in firmware and software security for hardware products.
- Experience in UEFI and embedded Linux (BMC) technologies.
- Experience as a security leader for hardware products, CPUs, and GPUs.
- Experience with architecture security reviews for products or services.
- Expertise in Encryption, Key Management, Cybersecurity fundamentals (e.g., access controls, common software vulnerabilities, and security standard processes), Deployment Methodologies, and Security Standards Compliance Certification (STIG, FedRAMP, PCI-DSS), etc.
- Experience with Intel/AMD/ARM server processors, and/or Nvidia/AMD GPUs and platforms is a plus.
