Job Position: Optometric Technician (Full Time Position)
We are seeking an Optometric Technician to become a part of our team.
Job Details:
- We are looking for a new staff member to join our team.
- We are an established Eye care medical office that promotes a family environment for its employees and patients.
- Auto Refractor, NCT, Visual Acuity, Photography and other ancillary testing.
- Monitors inventory within exam rooms and records notes during an examination.
- Assisting the Optical staff with other duties including; checking in patients, scheduling appointments and customer service.
- Protects patient confidentiality by making sure protected health information is secured by not leaving patient confidential information in plain sight and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
- Greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, preliminary diagnostic testing, training established and new contact lens wearers.
- Represent the practice with a friendly and professional demeanor and appearance.
- Previous experience in healthcare or other related fields is preferred but we are willing to train the right person.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent people skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- General computer skills.
- Ability to work independently (self-motivated) and in a team environment.
- Familiar with a windows computer environment and the ability to learn new medical software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate good communication skills and maintain a positive attitude.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to multitask within a fast-paced environment.
