Advanced Vision is Hiring an Optometric Technician Near Medford, OR

```Overview```
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Optometric Technician to join our team. As an Optometric Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our optometrists in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. If you have a passion for healthcare and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

```Responsibilities```
- Perform preliminary tests and measurements on patients, including visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and eye pressure
- Assist with diagnostic testing, such as visual field testing and retinal imaging
- Prepare patients for examinations by gathering medical history and documenting chief complaints
- Administer eye drops or medications as directed by the optometrist
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the office
- Assist with front desk duties, including answering phone calls, verifying insurance information, and collecting payments
- Order and maintain inventory of optical supplies

- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, such as Revolution, to document patient information
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with optical equipment and instruments
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in recording patient information
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
