Optical Associates is Hiring an Optical Sales Associate Near Toms River, NJ
Currently, we are seeking a bubbly/outgoing full-time optical associate. It is a must that the candidate has at least 1 year of retail and/or medical receptionist experience, and having an optical background is preferred, but not required. This position may be available in any of our locations including the areas of Edison, Somerville, Mountainside, Woodland Park, Tinton Falls, Hackensack, Lavallette, and Edison. Duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and assist them with finding eyeglasses and sun glasses
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and sales events
- Process transactions and order eyeglass lenses and contact lenses accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
-Arrange displays
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends
-Answer phones and schedule appointments
Requirements:
- Previous experience in sales, optical, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Knowledge of medical billing systems, insurance verification, or medical records is a plus

Friday-9am-5pm
Saturday-9am-3pm

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
