- Manage time between overseeing your nursing staff, providing outstanding quality of care to our residents & family members, and administrative tasks.
- Utilize critical thinking and business savvy, along with attention to detail performing your management duties.
- Lead the Nursing team from the front and by example, spend time on the floor meeting the needs of the patient alongside your staff.
- Participate in and conduct meetings with residents, families, physicians, management and staff.
- Have a clear understanding of State and Federal requirements of skilled nursing facilities
- Create and monitor a variety of reports on hospital discharges, medications, labs, satisfaction, ADLs
- Respond to residents and family members concerns.
- Encourage and develop teamwork and good work ethic within the department.
- Mentor and inspire your team.
- Promote accountability on your team.
- Possess a current, unencumbered, active Registered Nurse license to practice in the state of Michigan
- Previous ADON, nurse manager or nursing supervisory experience; strong geriatric background
- Knowledgeable in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices
- Must be a strong team player with proven leadership and supervisory skills
- Excellent verbal/written English communication skills
- Possess solid computer knowledge and comfort level. Ability to learn company software.
- Meet all local health regulations, pass post-offer drug test, and pass post-employment physical exam. This requirement also includes criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
