OPS Consulting is seeking a Technical Writer Level 0 to work in Annapolis Junction, MD.
Job Description: The Technical Writer (TW) will assist and be responsible for preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of program documentation to include but not limited to: program management plan, cybersecurity strategy, program protection plan, test and evaluation plan, and systems engineering plan. The TW will write and edit documentation using templates and formats created by the program. Additional responsibilities will include:
Job Description: The Technical Writer (TW) will assist and be responsible for preparation, review, revision, and maintenance of program documentation to include but not limited to: program management plan, cybersecurity strategy, program protection plan, test and evaluation plan, and systems engineering plan. The TW will write and edit documentation using templates and formats created by the program. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications.
- Understand basic concepts (including basic grammar concepts), responsible for writing technical copy for various types of documents.
- Gather technical information, prepares written text.
- Maintain a current internal documentation library.
- Two (2) years of demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer. Associate’s degree in a technical or related discipline. Two (2) years of additional Technical Writer experience may be a substitute for an Associate’s degree.
- A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.
