Summary
The Residential Client Support Manager provides direct supervision of all Residential QIDPs/Case Managers to ensure quality direct care services to clients served, by overseeing medical, behavioral, and all entitlements. Residential Client Support Manager collaboratively works with Residential Director and Assistant Director to maintain client care needs and to ensure all residential sites remain in compliance with licensing and regulatory compliance.

Essential Functions

-Use independent judgment and decision-making skills to work independently.
-Oversee Residential caseloads as needed to ensure continuity of client care, benefits, and entitlements are maintained.

-Participate in scheduled house meetings, client staffing, Behavior Management Committee meetings, and all other scheduled client and/or agency meetings.
-Communicate effectively with clients, staff, the Residential Director, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
-Advocate for the client’s health, safety, welfare, and personal well-being by promoting safety procedures and communicating client health or safety concerns with managers.
-Comply with applicable work rules, policies, procedures, accrediting, and licensing regulations.
-Serve as Behavior Management Committee Co-Chairperson and assist the Chairperson with any duties and responsibilities that she may have to complete for the committee.
-Serve as an active member of any task force or committee that focuses on case management and or the development of agency policy and procedures.
-Serve as Co-chair on Case Management Task Force and all other committees that may or may not be delegated.
-Serve as an active member of any task force or committee that focuses on the development of the agency.
-Assist with psych appointments and client medical appointments if a Case Manager is absent or the caseload is open.
-Assist Case Managers with On-call Health and Behavior emergencies as needed.
-Maintain on-call schedule for the Residential program, including filling in any gaps in the on-call schedule, responding to any last-minute on-call manager call-offs; be willing to cover any openings that still need to be filled.
-Communicate bi-weekly with Behavior Support Analysts and make sure that all needed Therap data information is updated according to their reports.
-Communicate effectively with our Nursing Department to ensure all clients’ medical needs are being met.
-Be an authorized QIDP Trainer with the DHS within 120 days of hire.
-Conduct bi-weekly Case manager meetings with the members of your team to keep open communication and work towards goal completion.
-Participate in Med Authorization Class and become medication authorized in all residential homes within 120 days of hire.
-Assist with medication passes, open shifts, client pick-ups, and drop-offs as your schedule allows.
-Complete five quarterly residential safety inspections.
-Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

-Interview, recruit, and hire staff; appraise work performance and provide job counsel.
-Oversee Residential QIDPs/Case managers who will report directly to you.
-Complete CEU hours to maintain QIDP status according to DHS.
-Assist the Residential Director and Assistant Residential Director with tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
-Supervise and provide on-the-job training to residential Case Managers.
-Stay knowledgeable of current trends in the CILA and Human Service field.
-Stay knowledgeable and up to date with Rules 115 and 116.
-Ensure all QIDPs get all CEU hours completed annually to keep certification active.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and use independent judgment.
-Excellent organization, written, and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to maintain timely and accurate records.
-Ability to keep client and OH business information confidential.

Required Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree and one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities are preferred. Skilled in Microsoft Office. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Be registered as a Developmental Disabilities Aide within three months of hire. Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional certification is preferred.
