Description

Summary: The Residential Coordinator, QIDP provides efficient and effective oversight to the residential environment for the individuals we serve in addition to providing supervision and leadership to staff. They seek to ensure all persons served are treated as individuals in a consistent and dignified manner. They also support their peers in offering guidance and modeling leadership. The Residential Coordinator, QIDP reports to the Residential Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (The requirements listed below are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, or responsibilities associated with this job.):

  • Responsible for casework/advocacy for all persons served (i.e. coordinate and monitor interdisciplinary efforts to develop and implement the Individual Program Plan for each person served and maintaining contact with outside consultants).
  • Responsible for communicating appropriate persons served information to staff (i.e. social history, programming, medical needs, and other appropriate information to provide quality care).
  • Performs the necessary administrative functions to ensure proper coordination and organization of overall residential and admissions operations for assigned homes (i.e. pre-admission screening for potential persons served and being responsible for all admission procedures and criteria related the Residential Program).
  • Takes direction and completes POC/ETAR documentation and follows-up with appropriate staff members for completion.
  • Assists in development and ensure implementation of active treatment, formal programming and behavioral plans for all persons served, (i.e. assist in writing quarterly progress reports; run reports weekly for missing program/ETAR data, and provide information to appropriate individuals for follow up).
  • Assure quality of and audit staff documentation, active treatment, any communication of critical information, meal preparation, house cleanliness, vehicle safety checks, kitchen documentation, and emergency drills.
  • Handles residential on-call phone calls as assigned.
  • Provides supportive and direct encouragement to assist persons served in general daily living skills in their residence.
  • Covers shifts as needed to meet scheduling needs, to train, or to observe regularly including covering for other Residential Coordinators.
  • Remain knowledgeable of OU policy/procedure as well as state and federal regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and strives to constantly maintain compliance (i.e. participation in required audits and surveys and assistance with follow through on plans of correction as determined by the organization and the Department of Inspections and Appeals).
  • Prepares and maintains proper documentation of program, services, medications, behavior, incident reporting and other documentation needed or assigned.
  • Addresses issues that arise in a manner that adheres to OU’s policies, guidelines, practices, and procedures.
  • Ensures that all organizational, local, state, and federal program guidelines are being met and followed.
  • Attends required and assigned staff meetings and trainings.
  • Maintains and promote positive relationships with co-workers, persons served, families, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Advises appropriate supervisor/manager/director of any issues to ensure efficient operations, and excellent service to all persons served.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be able to meet all organizational, local, state, and federal licensing and training requirements including but not limited to CPR, First Aid, MANDT, HIPPA, Universal Precautions, and Mandatory Reporting.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to obtain a chauffeurs license/endorsement.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Previous experience in program administration, staff development, program and staff supervision working with an organization that offers services to individuals with disabilities
  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds to provide physical assistance as needed.
