A DevSecOps SRE is a crucial role within our organization responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the networking infrastructure while integrating DevSecOps principles. In this role, the SRE collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of security, development, and operations processes throughout the network infrastructure lifecycle. They work closely with Infrastructure, development, security, and operations teams to design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures that support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment pipelines. The DevSecOps SRE also plays a key role in automating and supporting network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security. They will also be responsible for our physical network in our corporate office. They keep up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices to continuously optimize and improve the organization's networking infrastructure in alignment with business goals and objectives. Overall, the DevSecOps SRE plays a pivotal role in driving innovation, enhancing security, and improving operational efficiency within the organization's networking environment.

Primary Responsibilities of Role:

Create, monitor, maintain, and decommission AWS resources as required by the business.
Help enforce processes to properly manage AWS account environments.
Upgrade and migrate AWS resources throughout the resource lifecycle, ensuring minimal downtime.
Help IT staff make the most efficient and effective use of resources in AWS.
Assist with user account management and security policies.
Manage and support Office network.
Secure and maintain the organization's AWS infrastructure according to industry best practices.
Manage and patch network devices to ensure network security for both data center and office..

Work Experience:

3-5 years working as an administrator within an AWS environment is required.
3-5 years as a Linux systems administrator is preferred.
3-5 years of network administration experience is preferred.
Experience with migrating applications to AWS.
Experience with Bitbucket Pipelines.
Hands-on experience supporting Fortinet switches and firewalls or similar.

Skills/Licenses/Certifications:

AWS SysOps Administrator certification or equivalent experience - Required.
Experience using/configuring CloudFront - Preferred.
Experience using/configuring Terraform - Preferred.
Experience using/configuring CloudFormation - Preferred.
Experience using/configuring CodeDeploy - Preferred.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization deployments - Preferred.
Intermediate to Expert-level experience with either Windows Server OS, Linux OS, or both is strongly preferred.
Intermediate to Expert-level firewall and/or networking experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
Manage and optimize cloud environments on AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including but not limited to compute, storage, networking, and security services.
Implement and manage security measures throughout the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines and automate security testing processes.
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability, and proactively identify and resolve issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
Configure and manage networking components, including firewalls, VPNs, and DNS, to ensure a secure and efficient network infrastructure.
Utilize monitoring and logging tools, such as Sumo Logic, to gather insights, analyze trends, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Participate in incident response and on-call rotation to address and resolve production incidents in a timely manner.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps, security, and cloud computing, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our infrastructure and processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3 years of experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role, with a focus on security and infrastructure automation.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and infrastructure management.
Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Deployment Manager.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
Familiarity with security best practices, including vulnerability management, penetration testing, and compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR, HIPAA).
Experience with logging, monitoring, and analytics platforms, such as Sumo Logic, ELK stack, or Splunk.
Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and routing protocols.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or equivalent, are a plus.
