Job Title: Accounts Receivable Manager

As an Accounts Receiveable Manager at Opiniion, you will play a vital role in managing the billing processes, ensuring accuracy, and facilitating smooth financial transactions as well as overseeing the daily operations of the billing team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of billing experience, strong organizational skills, and a keen understanding of financial processes within the tech industry. As a Billing Manger it is also expected that you adhere to the Opiniion Dress Code and present yourself in a professional manner at all times, adhering to appropriate grooming and dress standards. It is expected that you maintain a professional demeanor in alignment with the expectations outlined in this job description.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Receivable Processes: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounts receivable department, including invoicing, billing, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer invoices and payments.
  • Collections Management: Develop and implement effective strategies for collections to minimize outstanding receivables. Monitor accounts aging and follow up with customers to secure timely payments. Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
  • Cash Flow Optimization: Analyze cash flow projections and develop strategies to improve cash collections and reduce DSO (Days Sales Outstanding). Work closely with the finance team to forecast cash flow and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts receivable to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records. Generate and analyze reports on accounts receivable aging, collections performance, and cash flow metrics. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to facilitate prompt payment and resolve any billing or payment discrepancies. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to accounts receivable.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounts receivable processes and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and productivity. Streamline billing and collection procedures to optimize departmental performance.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations related to accounts receivable. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact accounts receivable operations. Implement internal controls to mitigate risks related to credit and collections.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the accounts receivable team, including training, coaching, and performance management. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience 2 years in accounts receivable management or related role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives and project management.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or service industry.
  • Knowledge of credit risk assessment and credit management principles.
