Openwork is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Maintenance Assistant job in Smyrna. As a Maintenance Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the maintenance manager.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) :

• Supports Maintenance Manager to ensure timely delivery of replacement or repaired parts and that components.
• Assist in coordinating with the Maintenance Team Leaders for scheduling and document completion as requested.
• Supports Maintenance Manager in various administrative duties, selecting suppliers, generating purchase orders, and

transmitting purchase orders to suppliers.

• Monitoring deliveries and ensuring follow-up of supplies to ensure timely deliveries.
• Processing vendor invoices for payment and resolving any invoice issue.
• Display exceptional communication and writing skills, and communicate clearly and effectively
• Effectively organize time and multi-task different projects at a time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and learn fast
• Must meet deadlines

Education and Experience :

High School Diploma

2-3 years’ experience and / or knowledge in the manufacturing industry

General knowledge in warehouse production applications

Knowledge of MRP software (Preferred)

Knowledge of repair parts and tools, descriptions etc. Mechanical parts (Preferred)

Maintenance Repair and Operations supplier experience (preferred)

Microsoft Office (proficient in Excel)

performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift or move parts with an approximate weight up to a maximum weight of

50 lbs. Work requires bending, stooping, ladder climbing. Personal protective equipment is required in some situations. Reasonable
