As a Behavior Coach - Great Beginnings, you will support families with the development of a success early childhood.

Job Duties:

  • Provide family and community-centered interventions guided by positive behavior support principles that address the needs identified by the CFT
  • Develop individualized education and interventions for assigned children and families based on goals created in the Child and Family Team.
  • Develop and facilitate Great Beginnings group curriculums.
  • Assist children and families by identifying strengths and needs, accessing support, and partnering with other professional agencies.
  • Introduce parents to alternative parenting techniques (positive behavioral support).
  • Provide feedback to the Child and Family Teams on progress and the interventions or barriers impeding progress.
  • Provide transportation to child and family as determined by the family’s Child and Family Team and service plan.
  • Provide crisis intervention and stabilization support as needed.
  • Assist in actively assessing the work area for non-compliance issues and notify the supervisor in a timely manner to ensure follow-up.
  • Provide comprehensive services to all assigned clients and their families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
  • Provide case management, family support, life skills training, service planning, and other necessary support duties.
  • Facilitate and participate in Child and Family teams as assigned.
  • Mandatory attendance to all individual or group supervisions and monthly team and department meetings.
  • Complete all required documentation and billing requirements accurately and in the assigned time frames.
  • Support and comply with the 12 principles as defined in the Arizona Practice Model.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience working with children with a mental health diagnosis,
  • Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience working with children with a mental health diagnosis,
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher with 1 or more years of experience working with children with a mental health diagnosis,
  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health related field (ie. Psychology, family studies, human development, sociology, etc.) Some experience with mental health preferred.

Prerequisites:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Possess an Arizona driver’s license and state-mandated auto insurance.
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must be able to pass a 5-panel drug screen.
