Company Benefits

Opeeka offers a full range of competitive Company benefits to eligible employees.

Vacation

Full-time employees are eligible to earn and accrue vacation upon the first day of work. All full-time employees are eligible to accrue at least 80 hours of paid vacation time annually, and annual vacation time increases based on tenure.

Sick Time

All employees will be granted 5 days (40 hours) of paid sick leave in a lump sum at the time of hire and subsequently, at the beginning of each year on January 1st. Employees may begin to use paid sick leave on their 90th day of employment (or sooner, if applicable law requires). Employees can use up to 5 days (40 hours) of paid sick leave per year.

Holiday Pay

Upon hire, all employees will receive holiday pay for the Company observed holidays, which includes all Federal Holidays and the day after Thanksgiving.

Medical Insurance Benefits

Opeeka provides the option of a comprehensive medical insurance plan for eligible full-time employees and their dependents. Employees are eligible to enroll in the medical program on the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment. The Company will pay a portion of the medical insurance premium, up to $550 per employee and up to $450 for covered dependent(s). Medical insurance benefits are available to employees, the employee’s spouse or registered domestic partner, and the employee’s legal dependents.

Dental and Vision Benefits

Eligible full-time employees may also enroll in an employee only, an employee plus children or a family contract on the first of the month following 30 days of employment.

Retirement Plan

Opeeka provides all employees who complete 90 days of employment with a SIMPLE IRA plan which is an excellent means of long-term savings for your retirement. For eligible employees, the Company will contribute a dollar-for-dollar contribution match, up to 3% of the employee’s annual compensation.

Job Summary

Shapes projects from inception by facilitating communication between customers, development teams, management, and stakeholders. Provides knowledge in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation efforts or in translating business process needs into technical requirements. Uses available computer system resources and personnel to carry out analyses to support management's quest for performance improvement to determine the most useful business solution.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collects all necessary business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Ensures software products adhere to industry standards.
  • Implements a comprehensive management plan for each project and holds regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress.
  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects.
  • Reviews and analyzes information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes and procedures.
  • Provides expertise in, but not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.

Financial Responsibilities:

Includes tracking and monitoring actual labor hours associated with projects to ensure labor costs stay within approved project budget.

  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collect information from one person and present it to another.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with a variety of people in various positions across different organizations, including stakeholders, decisions makers, developers, testers, and project managers. Extensive listening, writing and interpersonal skills are paramount.
  • Demonstrated ability to create wire frames and user stories.
  • Demonstrated ability to use spreadsheets, GANT charts, project management tools, and other relevant commercial analytical and project analysis software tools.

Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge required for communicating with developers and testers, determining a team’s strong and weak sides, and for understanding technical specifics and project limitations.
  • Extensive analytical skills necessary to properly interpret a customer’s business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Problem solving and decision making skills necessary to consult both stakeholders and developers and to make swift decisions on issues and features as situations require.
  • Understands the software development process and is familiar with software product development practices, software development tools and environments, cloud computing environments, develops development and deployment concepts, software quality control requirements, and system security and privacy standards and requirements.
  • Is familiar with the healthcare industry and its structure, functional relationships, and the major players.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or similar field.
  • 3 years of experience in a Business Analyst role for a Software as a Service or software development company.
  • Previous work experience as a software developer or quality assurance engineer is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Previous experience with operational aspects of healthcare providers and understands the roles of healthcare payers and general trends in the industry.

  • Occasional to frequent repetitive motion.
  • Frequent talking and listening in person and over the phone.
  • Close up and distance vision requirements.
