Duties:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures, such as gastric lavage and sterile processing
- Administer medication and document administration according to established protocols
- Assist with airway management and respiratory treatments
- Provide support to patients with special needs or behavioral health conditions
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Cerner)
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program and certification as a nursing assistant
- Familiarity with medical equipment and devices (e.g., DME) used in patient care
- Knowledge of specialized procedures (e.g., gastric lavage) is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
