Sr. Accountant / Financial Analyst
Summary:
ONRAD is a rapidly growing, profitable technology-enabled healthcare company, offering teleradiology and onsite radiology services to hospitals across the country. We are looking for a results-driven Sr. Accountant / Financial Analyst to help drive improved financial performance. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting technical skills, analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, and be highly organized. As this is a hybrid role, the Sr. Accountant / Financial Analyst will need to be flexible and able to maneuver easily between tasks, roles and projects.
Responsibilities:
Sr. Accountant
· Prepare and enter monthly journal entries, including eliminating entries and calculating monthly fees and accruals, also possibly assist with some general AP and AR postings.
· Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and review for additional entries and/or research.
· Prepare monthly business reporting, analyze variances and communicate key takeaways.
· Complete quarterly reports for review and submission to the appropriate entities.
· Assist in the annual budgeting process.
· Other accounting tasks as assigned.
Financial Analyst
· Create and implement financial models, graphing, reports and dashboards to assist management in decision-making.
· Develop ad hoc financial models and analyses to support strategic and operational initiatives.
· Analyze and review financial data, resolve questions or problems, present recommendations and provide solutions to management.
· Analyze Payor Contracts for overall revenue expectation and timelines for renegotiation.
· Work collaboratively with all departments, identifying best practices and process efficiencies.
· Other analyses as assigned.
Skills and Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, Masters’ Degree or CPA preferred.
· 5 years relevant Accounting and Finance experience, 2 years healthcare experience preferred.
· Knowledge of medical terminology and revenue cycle management a plus.
· Strong results orientation and bias for action, including a high degree of initiative in understanding business needs and leading others to meet those needs.
· Experience working with staff across multiple locations and remote work sites.
· Excellent communications skills and strong executive presence. Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills that underpin mature influencing and presentation skills.
· Demonstrated financial/operational analysis experience including development of key performance metrics and indicators.
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
· Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
· Able to work independently in a goal-oriented environment.
