- Responsible to maintain, develop and coordinate testing for the following in-house applications:
- Radiology Information System (RIS): end-to-end workflow engine that facilitates processing, prioritizing exams in preparation for the radiologists’ dictation and distribution of the report.
- Data Warehouse: Analytics repository with ~50 canned reports using SSRS (Sql Server Reporting Services).
- Billing Application: End-to-end billing application for Onrad’s direct bill clients.
- Automation Engine: automates processing exams based on various conditions.
- Assignment Engine: properly prioritizes and assigns exams on the radiologists’ worklist.
- RAD Scheduling Application: scheduling application across multiple locations (telerad on-site).
- I.T. Support Ticketing Application: Helpdesk ticketing software.
- Fax Integration API: integrates the RIS with a commercial fax software.
- Miscellaneous Applications: knowledge repository, client profile and physician profile.
- Strong adherence to documentation and maintaining the organization’s knowledge base.
- Writing canned reports in SSRS (Sql Server Reporting Services) after gathering business requirements from business stakeholders.
- Manage distribution lists for canned reports.
- Generate monthly billing reports for finance and ad-hoc reports as requested.
- Assist in managing and maintaining all existing SQL databases.
- Manage the data-warehouse’s daily ETL processes.
- Writing transact SQL mainly for reporting or application development purposes which include transact SQL and stored procedures.
- At times will assist in maintaining and writing database maintenance scripts (e.g. table indexes, backup routines, data archiving, etc.).
- Miscellaneous data-load and configuration mgmt: Work with business to manage existing business rules and load normalized data.
- Data Load: Billing fee schedule, exam crosswalk for table lookups, load prior reports data, batch load new user roster for new clients, crosswalk medical-record-numbers for clients implementing new EMRs, batch modify radiologist fee schedule, etc.
- Configuration and Business Rules: modify radiologist assignment engine as instructed by Operations, modify automation engine rules, etc.
- Responsible for updating our secondary data center with up-to-date application code(s) and coordinating failover/fail-back when required.
- Responsible for managing and maintaining SQL Cluster (i.e. sync databases between two data centers asynchronously).
- Responsible for utilizing SQL’s built-in AOG procedures to perform failover and fail-back database(s).
- Monthly Routine: apply OS & application patches on a monthly basis for all hosts that house the organization’s internal applications and databases.
- General I.T. Support (e.g. IT Support Line and ticketing system) for staff, doctors and clients during general business hours. Backup after hours (night & weekend) on-call to cover one full week, every 5 weeks.
