Onondaga County Health Department is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Syracuse, NY
The Onondaga County Health Department has a full time opening for a Medical Assistant in the Bureau of Disease Control (BDC).
The medical assistant will work closely with a team of clinical staff to provide medical record management, clinical and general office support and public health outreach to patients seen in both the Sexual Wellness Center and Tuberculosis (TB) clinics. Typical hours are M-F 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Onondaga County is an equal opportunity employer.
Applicants must possess two years of experience in clinical settings, which must include medical records management, and a Certificate in Medical Assisting, Medical Billing, Phlebotomy or an Associate’s Degree in Health Science, Health Information Technology, Accounting/billing or closely related field.
Salary: $41,283 per year
