ONLY LOVE HOME CARE is Hiring a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), Laredo, TX Near Laredo, TX

Registered Nurse for Hospice Care

We are looking for a qualified Registered Nurse for admissions, discharges and follow up visits for Hospice. You will work with a variety of patients and you will provide direct nursing care along with physical or psychological support when required. Must be willing to work with adults and Pediatrics.

Must be willing to take on-call every other week.

EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing

LICENSURE: Current license as a registered nurse (RN) and/or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC), current Drivers License.

EXPERIENCE: Two years experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical care setting preferred, hospice preferred.

SKILLS: Nursing skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Good interpersonal skills. Specialized skills preferred in palliation and end-of-life. Proof of current CPR. Must read, write and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

  • Identify patients’ care requirements, focus on their needs and act on them
  • Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
  • Resolve or report on patients’ needs or problems
  • Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, provide drugs and injections etc)
  • Monitor and record patient’s condition and document provided care services
  • Treat medical emergencies
  • Administer workloads
  • Follow care regulations and standards
  • Work within and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team
  • Others as assigned/needed

COMPENSATION BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND INTERVIEW
