POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Individuals working in the Electrical Department should be proficient with using many different types of power tools (both electrical and air powered, which the company furnishes.) This person should also have his/her own hand tools (see below). This candidate should have 12 volt DC experience, preferably in an automotive environment (such as wiring car stereos, installing car alarms, etc). The candidate may have some experience doing work related to carpentry tasks, such as trim work, using a tape measure proficiently and being familiar with drill bits. Previous experience with wire harness assembly or electrical console assembly is a big plus.
The candidate will use different types of tools and perform a variety of tasks to accomplish the assembly of emergency vehicles.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be dependable and be able to work occasional overtime as required. Previous work in an automotive manufacturing environment is a plus. ASE certification in electrical/electronic systems is a big plus.
High School Diploma/GED preferred. Must be able to read and write and be able to understand written instructions. Must have a good attitude and strong work ethic with good attendance and stable work history. Must be able to work occasional overtime as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical automotive manufacturing shop environment (hot/cold/dusty).
PHYSICAL: This position involves manual labor using assigned tools. This position requires the individual to reach, stand, kneel, bend, stoop and twist to accomplish the assembly of emergency vehicles. Interior Electricians will be required to work in the ambulance interior (i.e., tight spaces). Individuals will perform a variety of tasks and will be in various "positions" throughout the workday.
