Job Description:

Role Summary/Purpose:

The Account Director role within Account Management is responsible for both managing & cultivation strong partnerships with key strategic clients/businesses, delivering against client campaign business goals, delivering complex campaigns across multiple marketing execution channels, leading a team of Account Managers, and driving/supporting the continual evolution and integration of holistic planning and delivery for the business.

We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility. You have the option to be remote, and work from home, or come into one of our offices. You may be occasionally requested to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead Demand Generation campaign delivery planning and execution for key strategic client relationships/businesses across multiple marketing channels

  • Partner with SYF platform marketing, commercial activation, and Demand Gen teams to plan & forecast capacity, prioritize campaigns and balance workloads to support P&L strategic priorities and governance requirements

  • Lead a team of Account Managers, providing guidance/coaching, providing tools for success to deliver across multiple campaign channels & complexities and support client team business goals

  • Manage campaign execution calendar for channel acquisition, retention, lifecycle, and integration efforts for strategic client portfolios working closely with other Performance Marketing teams

  • Collaborate with peer team leaders. Portfolio Directors, Demand Gen organization, and Performance Marketing to deliver campaigns for our partners

  • Serve as liaison and central point of contact for marketing teams for milestone tracking, change control requests, process exceptions, as well as omni channel optimization opportunities

  • Engage, coordinate & lead proactive project management for Demand Generation campaigns ensuring growth strategy deliverables are achieved

  • Establish and lead regular campaign portfolio reviews of operating processes with client marketing teams to drive execution efficiency, proactively address roadblocks, optimize marketing opportunities, and share best practices

  • As required, coordinate client marketing campaign incident management and corrective actions; partnering with remediation subject matter experts and compliance teams.

  • Build relationships/networks across key functional areas that support marketing execution plans

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR in lieu of degree high school diploma/GED and 8 years of professional experience in sales, marketing, operations in a corporate environment

  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience to include Project Management and client relationship experience

  • Experience leading and growing a team of professionals

  • Ability to travel 20% of the time or as needed

Desired Characteristics

  • Strong Leadership and People Management Experience

  • Project management experience and the ability to prioritize, navigate changes and deliver to plan

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence and partner with all levels of employees; internal and external partners/suppliers.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to create/analyze reporting to drive insights on campaign workload, YOY trend changes, to identify optimization opportunities, etc.

  • Team player; flexibility to pivot with strategic, regulatory and market changes; and proven ability to work cross functionally, as well as within own function 

  • Agile skill sets, team, process, tools and/or methods experience

  • Keen understanding of data & production requirement development & how to integrate the data within the delivery platforms

  • General understanding of direct mail, email, paid & earned media channels with the goal of becoming an SME

  • Consumer financial services experience with exposure to credit card or retail environment

  • Prior Agency Account Management Experience

Grade/Level: 12

The salary range for this position is 110,000.00 - 185,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
