What you’ll be doing...

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring the proper inventory control measures are in place at the forward warehouses - including but not limited to: inbound prioritization, capacity, the liaison between manufacturers and the forward warehouses, overseeing the resolution of all inbound inventory receiving discrepancies and ensuring our forward warehouse 3PL partners established goals and metrics are met to Verizon’s satisfaction.

• Managing the inbound receiving processes, ensuring inbound receipts are posted timely and our 3PL partners execute to their contractual obligations.

• Managing inbound product discrepancies and leading the resolution of these issues by collaborating with our 3PL partners and OEM’s (Original equipment manufacturers.)

• Creating corrective action plans with our 3PL partners by Analyzing and trending data related to receiving discrepancies. Partner with the logistics vendor compliance team, planning teams and OEM’s to ensure actions plans and KPI targets are met.

• Scheduling and leading the weekly quality calls with the 3PL partners. Review weekly discrepancy performance and create strategic initiatives to drive down inbound discrepancy percentages for all OEM’s.

• Managing all warehouse discrepancy reporting to ensure all reported discrepancies are properly identified and logged. Provide leadership with regular updates on trends and progress.

• Implementing Inventory control initiatives for 5G transactions

• Ensuring daily system reconciliations are performed and Verizon inventory systems accurately reflect on-hand and reserved inventory.

• Setting the strategy and directive required when on-hand inventory discrepancies are identified. The strategy needs to be actionable and collaborative with the 3PL’s and OEM’s.

• Managing inventory movement transactions both virtually within sites and physically to internal and external locations.

• Providing customer support through daily resolution of orders in fallout status due to inventory-related issues.

• Performing audits of 3PL cycle count performance and processes.

• Tracking Inventory-related KPI’s, promptly identify undesirable trends, and recommend solutions for areas of concern.

• Initiating strategic process improvements.

• Supporting ongoing system IT infrastructure development and enhancements.

• Supporting the implementation of new and existing inventory controls for all forward warehouses.

• Ensuring the forward warehouses are adhering to the Verizon quality control inspection SOX requirements for all OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) shipments.

• Participating in annual warehouse audits. Partner with the 3PL’s, Inventory accounting and internal Supply Chain teams to validate and ensure adherence to SOX compliance.

• Completing all SOX compliance filings timely and within the necessary deadlines.

What we’re looking for...

 You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

• Four or more years of relevant work experience.

• Experience with SAP. 

• Experience in Vendor Management. 

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. 

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree in supply chain or related field. 

• Warehouse, distribution, fulfillment center, or supply chain experience.

•  Experience in project management.
