Oneonta Veterinary Hospital is seeking a veterinarian for a full-time position involving medicine and surgery. Any experience is welcome - we love mentoring students and new grads!
Our facility is well equipped to see small animals, primarily cats and dogs, but will sometimes see other pocket pets and even chickens, ducks, and ferrets! We offer TTA surgeries in-house, dental x-rays, digital x-rays, full Idexx in-house lab suite, house calls for euthanasias, and more!
In addition to providing the best quality of medicine, we also care for the wellness and happiness of our staff by prioritizing work/life balance, giving each doctor their own office, and allowing everyone to bring their own pet into work! We offer a family-friendly schedule, with a 4-day work week, shared Saturday rotation, no emergencies, and no on-call.
Our facility is located in the beautiful and rural town of Oneonta, part of Otsego County, which is a great place to live and work. Otsego county offers a lot of outdoor activities - cross country skiing in the winter and water sports in the summer. We have many local breweries/wineries in the area, local farms, farmer’s markets, restaurants, and more! We are located about 4 hours from NYC, 5 hours from Boston, 1 hour from Albany, and 45 minutes from Binghamton. We are close enough to make day trips to either the Catskills or the Adirondacks for outdoor adventures and Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame, is also about a 20-30 minute drive from us. The options in and outside of our town are endless!
If this sounds like a place for you, please apply! We can't wait to show you how special we are and look forward to hearing from you. Get in touch by applying today through this application, or just text 306V to (781) 512-7172.
We offer superior salary, medical benefits (including health, dental, and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, a family-friendly atmosphere, and more.
